Welcome to the New Year!
It's time to fire up and get moving - every day, in every way (#Ausactive slogan). For some it's already part of the Daily Method of Operation (DMO) while for others it's in the creation and development stages. Just remember #allorsomething.
I used to do structured training - resistance, mobility, cardio - 6 days a week and because of other commitments, that has reduced to three or four days but that doesn't mean I don't use movement every day still. Walking, gardening (and trust me, that can get pretty intense), even -dum dum dummmm - chores.
I had a doctor friend, tell me some years ago that exercise was my “drug of choice”, which, I suppose speaks directly to the importance it held in my mental health…most days, if I didn't get a chance to train, I would go a bit mental 😂. Not much has changed in the last 15 years or so, I still go stir crazy when I'm stuck behind a desk (even for a few hours) or on a long drive.
Well, that's my start-of-year rant, there will be a few more of these shared here, along with (hopefully) inspiring, motivating and satisfying content…and maybe a few giggles, depending on my mood.
Make 2025 count for you. Do a little something something for your health each day and that needle will move the more you do. Every little bit counts and may make a big difference in 360 days’ time.
